The IM-Series Instant Measuring System is a visual inspection system that performs measurements in place of optical comparators, calipers/micrometers, measuring microscopes, and optical CMM’s.  Conventional 2D measurement tools are time-consuming and challenging to use in some applications, as the degree of accuracy needed cannot be realized.  The IM system drastically reduces inspection time and removes all operator subjectivity.  Load a .dxf file, define parameters to inspect, and the system will quickly verify what is in spec and what isn’t, within +/- 2um.  Profiles, GD&T, CAD imports, and user based programming are easily performed.  Common applications include springs, stamped parts, rings, gears, threads, and other small parts with features too difficult to inspect conventionally.
